Yes it is a shame but an inevitable consequence of businesses (not just Football) where hearts rule heads, is that funds will run out at some stage.

Don't know the full story. But a year or two ago I was coming back on the train after visiting my aunt in Eastbourne and met a few long term Lewes supporters. They were thrilled at tasting some success at last and I feel very sorry for them should their club fold.

It seems ridiculous that they pushed so hard for promotion, achieved it and then suddenly realised they couldn't afford to play at the level were aspiring too. I am confident that given our past history our current board are pushing for promotion because we can afford to do so, but it is a reminder that we need to build off the pitch as quickly as we are building on the pitch.
