I would settle for getting to the end of the season and being able to say that our Management Team has dealt well with problems that arise, that it has made consistently good signings, that it has adapted and used its squad to make the most of what its got, that has effectively tried changing tactics to improve performances, that has trained the players to a high standard, that has coached them technically as a team to a high standard, that has successfully motivated the players, that has had full commitment from the players, that has learned lessons from things that have gone wrong, or even gone right, that has recognised their own mistakes (few, hopefully), that has made progress throughout the season. I wasn't able to say much of that at the end of this season!

As for league position, while we aspire to promotion, ultimately that's out of our hands because no matter how good City are, there can always be someone who does better, however if our Management Team gets all of the above right, then we won't be far away from achieving our aspirations.
